Scale Slimy Fish Selling Guide

Selling is where the session finally pays you. A strong route moves fish through scaling, feeding, cash, and the next upgrade with as little dead time as possible.

Selling rules

Rule

Scale first

Use

Mandatory

Why

Fish are not ready for the cash route until scales are removed.

Rule

Sell meaningful batches

Use

Early and mid game

Why

Avoid one-fish trips, but do not wait until storage becomes messy.

Rule

Move ordinary value

Use

Upgrade saving

Why

Duplicates should fund the next rod, knife, or bait step.

Rule

Hold only with a reason

Use

Index or hunt goals

Why

A short hold is fine; a museum inventory is not.

Rule

Reset route on clutter

Use

Long sessions

Why

Clean the loop before opening another bait or luck window.

Question

Answer

No

Action

Convert value now and buy the next upgrade sooner.

Cash farming workflow

  1. 1Run a short route and count how many fish become cash, not just how many you catch.
  2. 2If walking takes too long, shorten the route and sell more often.
  3. 3If scaling piles up, buy a knife or reduce batch size before adding bait.
  4. 4If catching feels empty, buy a rod before chasing trophy odds.
  5. 5Use the calculator after one real loop to estimate time to the next upgrade.

Storage and reset timing

Storage should help you organize the route, not become the reason you stop earning. If you are walking too far, carrying too many duplicates, or delaying sells until the run feels uncomfortable, reset into a cleaner loop and convert ordinary value.

Mistakes that drain sell value

  • Treating every new-looking fish as a permanent trophy.
  • Starting a boost window with unfinished fish already waiting.
  • Buying bait before the knife can handle bigger batches.
  • Waiting to sell until the route becomes stressful instead of rhythmic.
